Eucalyptus in Blue Bottle
This painting was inspired by a fresh arrangement my wife put together. I was totally intrigued by the unique shapes, colors and textures of the leaves and stems. The way the light and reflections played off the blue bottle were an added bonus.

Morning Light
The light falling across the pleated vase and lit up edges of the leaves were all the inspiration I needed to start a new painting. I chose to work on a wood panel, knowing that this was the perfect surface to capture the effects I wanted to achieve.
